I'll overwhelm 'legitimate combatant' Paul - Joshua
The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming boxing match.
Ex twice unified title holder Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I plan to break his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my goal."
Civil Exchange
In spite of those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically recognized for his showmanship - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead criticized former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British rival Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
Still, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, frequently receiving massive financial rewards.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in round four or five and claimed he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.
Size Difference
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the traditional face-off, with their height and weight contrast on show, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
